Kareo is one of the popular EHR providers based in the United States. Founded in 2004 by Dan Rodrigues, he is the current CEO of the company as well. Kareo is popular among healthcare providers for its reliable software – the company itself claims to serve a network of over 50,000 practitioners. Employing more than 500 workers, Kareo is a booming name in the EHR and Medical Billing industry.
Kareo offers a variety of products optimized for medical providers based in the US. Its most important product, Kareo EHR, is a web-based, iOS supported solution for small and medium-sized practices. Additional products include Practice Management, Patient Engagement and Billing Company Software. Kareo also offers services, including Medical Billing Services, Analytics, Telemedicine, Mobile Application (iOS) and Marketplace.
Kareo has enjoyed decent customer faith and they’ve not disappointed as well. They've got an excellent retention rate, which shows that their aftersales support is quite satisfactory. Their implementation is pretty fast as well. Kareo EHR is optimized in such a manner that it allows migration, conversion and implementation without the need to install any expensive servers. Kareo has also been enlisted by Forbes, Deloitte, Medical Economics, Capterra, OCBJ and FrontRunners as one of the top EHR companies in the US. It has been a recipient of the famous Black Book Award for four consecutive years (2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016). We using Kareo free ehr it is very easy to learn and use and its almost free if we don’t use their practice management system. It is web based app so it can be use from anywhere only with the help of fast internet.
Copying and pasting text is quite difficult task it is somewhat more irritating. As it is web based system if you didn’t logout before closing it. The saved client record will be locked, and to unlocked you have login from your desktop or laptop rather than Iphone or Ipad.

Interface is very user engaging and convenient to learn. Scheduling patient’s appointment and search patient’s history is very easy aswell.
There are many features on which Kareo should take action to improve them. Like to see patient’s age of date of birth it takes extra clicks. On the appointment information there should be additional information provided like, address, date of birth, phone no & email etc.

Before Kareo we were using an expensive EHR which wasn’t completely worth it and waste of money. Kareo has some minor glitches in the system but overall fulfill the needs of our practice. And the staff is happy.
Creating provider note is a bit tricky. There are continues bugs keep occurring which cause repetitive distraction.

Kareo’s reporting section is super easy and descriptive to explain the balance to the patient. Patient scheduling is very easy to create. As we are working in 5 doctors practice it is very beneficial to see and schedule accordingly.
Sometimes frequent update creates a little mess up. If they could send a notification before updating the system we’ll be able to hold and save or documents timely. Rest is good.

There are few areas where kareo needs to be improved like when we send the patient demographics there is no option for labs and studies. Hospital version is bit different and difficult to use. And it should allow to add more section per patient visit.

The growth charts and vaccine section is the disaster for the pediatrics specialty. The customer support is too bad. Their response time took too long for even simple issues.

I found Kareo very user friendly, easy to use and navigate though out the system. The online tutorials are very helpful to understand the system. It helped a lot in storing patient’s record online.
The verification of patient’s insurance is very difficult. I don’t know there is a problem in the software or they are not certified with those insurances.

The system is easy to use and its well designed for the big practices or where more provider needs an emr system. The could based system helps to store my patient’s data online without any fear of stealing and hacking.

I can use Kareo on IPhone devices. It is easy to access from anywhere. We were using dr chrono before so it is relatively cheaper than from it. The newly added patient messaging feature is very useful.
The system is completely manual even it doesn’t have autosave for provider’s note. The system is very complicated to use in the hospital environment. There are lot of glitches throughout the software.

Some features are really easy to use like we can manage our patient’s record and view their appointments. It also offers a customized plan for each type of appointment and task required for different case and treatment plan.

Customer support is totally messed up. I decided to go with the kareo because of their reasonable price but If I ever knew about their poor client service I would rather like to pay more and hassle less. When I asked to cancel my all my subscriptions about 2: 30 pm they billed me again at 7:30. When I asked them to explain for this extra bill they have no clue and nothing could be done. I am not gonna suggest and use this product again ever.

Pricing is way more suitable as compare to other ehr vendors. The trial was an extra good step to start this vendor. Support and implementation is very quick responsive.
Some features are very complicated to operate like Macros. It was added on per demand in the software after purchasing. It required a quite plenty of time to writing SOAP notes where others vendors has very easy to use features.

I did like how the software in a graded instantaneously with our EMR system in order to put new clients instantaneously as we head to Devin to our other system.
I don’t like the frequent updating of the software that worker prompt me on screen nearly weekly to log in and update to the newest version. Also I am www not a fan of the system layout and appearance. Found it tough to navigate at times.

Excellent customer service. Kareo billing portal is easy to use even for a not-so tech savvy person.
Kareo Engage was not very useful for my practice. I have not used Kareo EHR. Kareo billing portal frequently gets upgraded which means that we need to delete and re-install it every 2-3 weeks which is a hassle.
The upgrade part is a hassle. otherwise it is good.
